Kenyan Sandgrouse Shooting Competition Rules

These official rules ("the rules") apply to the Woodward Bailey/Fieldsports Subscription 2007 prize draw conducted by BPG (Stamford) Ltd. By entering the prize draw, the participants ('you') agree to be bound by these rules and you are advised to read and understand them carefully before entering.

Eligibility: This prize draw is only open to residents of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland who are over 18 years old at the time of the draw. The prize draw is not open to employees of BPG (Stamford) Ltd, its subsidiaries and affiliates and suppliers or those domiciled with such employees or members of their immediate family.

Promotion Period: Entries will be accepted for the prize draw from Friday 27th July 2007 up to and including 10.00am the 31st December 2007. BPG (Stamford) Ltd may extend this period without notice if, in their absolute discretion, insufficient entries have been received by this time.
BPG (Stamford) Ltd reserves the right to extend/change the entry period without notice.

How to Enter: No purchase of any goods or services is necessary. All you are required to do is to answer the question on the subscription form (or if calling the subscription hotline give your answer as instructed to the telephone operative) and send it to the address as directed. The information provided must be complete, accurate and have been submitted by the person who is entering the draw.

Limitation of Entries: Only one entry per person is permitted.

Prizes: The prizes to be awarded are as follows:

1st Prize is a sandgrouse shooting and safari trip in Kenya for one Gun and partner (non shooting) - minimum two days' shooting (possibly three) and three days' safari. The trip is fully inclusive with exception of tips and return flights between the UK and Nairobi. Food, drink, accommodation, cartridges and internal transfers are all included. However, the prize winner must be the holder of a valid shotgun certificate and passport, and arrange their own travel insurance, travel to and from the airport in the UK, any advised vaccinations, any necessary visa’s, airport taxes etc.

2nd Prize is a bespoke two-piece shooting suit (breeks and waistcoat) from Carters Country Wear of Helmsley worth almost £500. The winner will choose his/her tweed from the wide selection offered by Carters Country Wear. The prize does not cover the cost of travel to Helmsley.

3rd Prize is a mounted brace of sandgrouse worth £250 by the well respected taxidermist Gary Tatterton.

There will be no cash alternative to prizes. No transfer or assignment of prizes will be permitted. BPG (Stamford) Ltd, Woodward Bailey, Carters Country Wear reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value without notice.

Winners will be determined by a random draw from all eligible entries, to be held within 5 working days of the end of the promotion period, at BPG’s offices at the address below. BPG will be the sole authority for any decisions relating to the prize draw and all decisions by them are final and binding for all participants.

Notification: Winners will be notified by email, post, or telephone within 14 days of the date of the draw. The winners will have 28 days from notification to accept the prize by sending an email to m.barnes@bournepublishinggroup.co.uk

Details of prize winners are available by writing to the offices of BPG (Stamford) Ltd at 33 Broad Street, Stamford, Lincs PE9 1RB enclosing a stamped, self-addressed business size envelope.

The winner must reply to the notification within 28 days of the date that the email was sent in order to claim the prize. If after 28 days no email is received claiming a prize, the winner will not be eligible for that prize. For all unclaimed prizes left after 28 days a new set of prize draw winners will be selected. Again these prize draw winners must reply to the notification within 28 days of notification to claim the prize. This process continues until all have been claimed.
The winner may be required to provide BPG with proof that the winner has a valid shotgun certificate, UK passport. Notwithstanding the declaration of a prize winner, if BPG (Stamford) Ltd subsequently discover that these rules have not been complied with by the participant they reserve the right to disqualify that person.

Liability: BPG (Stamford) Ltd and Woodward Bailey Sporting International are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, mechanically reproduced, mis-delivered, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries, messages or post; unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmission; on line failures; hardware software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communications failures or circumstances affecting, disrupting or corrupting the prize draw in any manner including without limitation, receipt of entries, entrance ability to participate in the prize draw winner notification, or winner response to notification. BPG (Stamford) Ltd cannot be held responsible for force majeure (circumstances beyond their control) including any damage to entrant's computer occasioned by participation in the prize draw or downloading of any information necessary to participate in the prize draws.

Jurisdiction: These rules shall be governed by English law and the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
